The Countdown

In December 2015 Roberto returned to work at Vespaio in Los Angeles where Heather was a newly hired bartender. Their manager at the time asked Heather if she could make his friend, Roberto, a beer while he was on the clock. Frustrated that Roberto was getting the special treatment, she did so. A few nights later they worked a holiday party together and by the end of the party, Heather's roommate Mark said, "you like him don't you?". Blushing she of course said, "stop it!". From that point on Heather went to pursue Roberto and then they were inseparable.
Having worked almost every shift together, Heather and Roberto were only given one day off together before he had to return to Italy. They did a road trip to San Francisco and drove 4 hours each way in one whole day. It was at dinner that night that they knew it would be hard to say goodbye when Roberto had to leave. After months of long distance, Heather came to Italy and they both decided that they did not want to live apart, so they ended up moving back to the states and did a cross country road trip to live in New York City.
It was the last day in their NYC apartment where they had lived in for 3 years. The best memories and the beginning of a new adventure began in between these walls, and it will never be forgotten. New York City, (WaHi), will always be home away from home for them.
After COVID delays and an international move later, Heather and Roberto are excited to finally say "I Do" in Italy with their family and friends present. Their adventure continues...
Why Peeps Life? It was in NYC that Roberto started calling Heather 'cipolla' which means onion in Italian. The nickname quickly progressed to pipi and eventually "peep". Now Heather and Roberto rarely use their own first names when they talk to each other. They always say, "ciao peep" or "ti amo peep". Thus, they are living and ready for the next chapter of "Peeps Life". Roberto also had this engraved inside of Heather's engagement ring.
After living in Los Angeles, New York City and Boston - Heather and Roberto made it to their final destination in Italy. However, this doesn't mean that fun and memories were created along the way. Travel and culture is at the root of their relationship. If it weren't for two cross-country road trips across America, these two may have never met. Roberto began his journey from Orlando, FL and ended in Los Angeles, CA. Heather only a mere 4 months later made her trip from Bath, Maine to Los Angeles, CA and met Roberto two months after her move. Some would say it's fate After more than 6 years, they are both ready to continue their forever <3
We look forward to seeing you at our Matrimonio!
